Delete your Photoz account
Contents
This page explains how to delete your Photoz account and the data that goes with it, with or without the app, and what happens to your data afterwards. Photoz is published by Keyfred Inc.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open Photoz and go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and tick I understand what will be deleted.
- Sign in once more to confirm it is you (Google, Apple or your e-mail password).
- Tap Delete account. The account and its data are deleted immediately.
An account that signs in with Apple can be deleted from an iPhone or iPad only, because Apple requires its sign-in grant to be revoked on an Apple device.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, send an e-mail to support@photoz.co.kr with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the e-mail address registered to your Photoz account (or from the address of the Google or Apple ID you signed in with), and include your display name (@handle) if you remember it.
We confirm that the request comes from the account holder by replying to the registered address. Once confirmed, we delete the account within 7 days and let you know by e-mail. A request we cannot verify is not processed, so that nobody else can delete your account.
3. What is deleted
Deleting the account removes the following immediately and irreversibly:
- Every photo you uploaded, with its original file, derivatives and metadata (including location)
- Your profile: display name, handle, avatar and bio
- Photo details, tags and the AI suggestions you saved
- Follows, followers, likes and saves you gave and received
- Comments and albums you created
- Notification settings, registered devices and the notification center
- Sign-in sessions on every device; Apple sign-in grants are revoked
Deleted data cannot be restored. If you only want to remove some data, you can delete individual photos, turn off a photo's location, edit your profile or withdraw your consent to news and offers in the app without deleting the account.
4. What is kept, and for how long
Under Article 3 of the Privacy Policy, the following records are kept for the period required by law and then destroyed. They are stored separately from other data and used only for the purpose set by the relevant law.
